Posting Frenzy Complete!
4 posts completed tonight. I just need to talk about our trip to FL and then I think I will be caught up! So night night! It's 11:20pm and wwwaaaayyyy past my bedtime!
Project 52: Date Nights
I began to plan our date nights at the beginning of January, and while collecting ideas on the Romantic Vineyard I came across a post for Project 52. Check it out! We are so excited about our 52 date nights this year. This is what we have in store. It’s fun planning dates on a tight budget.
We have dates pick out for each week of the month. Thursday is our date night, but we think we might be switching it to Saturday because Danny doesn't run the risk of being late!
Week 1: Cozy Coffee Shop -- decaf coffee and books what could be more romantic!
Week 2: ABC Date -- this is our only date out and it's themed to a letter of the alphabet
Week 3: Game Night or Movie Night
Week 4: World Travelers -- this night will be themed to a destination: food, music, and looking through books about set country.
So... Janurary's dates:
Week 1: Planning dates together
Week 2: A -- We went to Atlanta Bread to eat, then played Arcade gamed and Air Hockey at Frankie's Fun Park.
Week 3: Movie Night -- I believe we watched Iron Man
Week 4: United States-- We were in FL so we walked around Winter Park's Park Ave and ate Ice Cream!
February's Dates:
Week 1: We read Don't Waste Your Life... by John Piper because we don't have a fictional piece to go through yet! Don't Waste Your Life isn't a monthly read!
Week 2: B -- Burgers, then get a Book at Barnes and Noble, go to Bath and Body Works for lotion for a Back Massage! Who doesn't love a good excuse for a back massage!
Week 3: Card games - Phase 10 and a couple other new ones that we got!
Week 4: Canada -- Celebrate the Olympics! I'm a huge fan of the Olympics!
Us!

Pick one spot
My sewing room: It's almost finished, just a few more things to put on the walls and then we will be done. Sort of! When we get more funds... than it will be complete! But isn't that always the case :) Now, if I can just find some time to sew!

It has even changed some since this picture...

We are supposed to be finishing tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to add some new pictures this weekend!

Posting Frenzy
Okay, it's 9:30pm and everyone is once again sick and asleep but me. So what do you do you play catch up. I'm going to try and catch up the past few months.
Sick... sick... sick some more and sick again. Okay, you're all caught up! Well, I guess I'll fill in the gaps!
November:
Amy (Danny's sister) came into town. We had a great long weekend with her!

Mini Care Group- cancelled due to lack of communication on all parts... I cried James -- salt in the wound! This is the delicious cake that everyone missed out on. It was a really involved cake too. I learned a lot from it! Too bad the trash saw more of the cake than we did :) I'm not bitter!

Learning time! Bentley did this while I baked...

this for care group:

Marseille 4 months old... so cute!

THANKSGIVING: Cooking, Go Carts, Fireworks, Food, and Fun all wrapped into one weekend!

December contained: our 4th wedding anniversary, a trip to Steve and Meghann's to celebrate Christmas, Bentley's therapy party, Danny's Christmas party, Christmas, Christmas dinner with Philip and Ashley, all laced with sickness.
Sweet feet:

Bentley wearing my beret!

Bentley and his therapist

Look Ashley is cooking!

Our Christmas dinner!

Oops... that's supposed to be a cement mixer!

She's already into chocolate!

Sick babies

So that was November and December. Let's see if I can get January together too!

Bentley's Birthday! Part 2!
Okay, so if you know much about me, you would know that I couldn't let the whole icing issue rest. They say third times a charm. Well, the icing tasted great, but it was really tight and hard to spread. Thankfully, I was making a cake for a two year old! He really enjoyed the cake!
Some last minute decorations:

The cake: Notice how the sand over takes the waves!

Little Einsteins: Pat pat pat... blast off.

Blowing out the candles:

Yummy cake:

Oh Marseille...

Bentley's Birthday!
YAY! Today is Bentley's 2nd birthday! Time is going by way too fast. I just finished baking him a Wacky/ Depression Cake because it doesn't have any milk in it! I hope that he enjoys it. The frosting turned out okay. I don't have a knack for frosting... but I really don't care... so I probably won't do anything about it :)... I digress!
Anyway! What a big boy. He is such a help around the house. He knows where the garbage is, where the dirty clothes go.... and how to slather his sister in Vaseline when I'm not looking :) (We had a fun morning! wink**wink**) He is starting to talk more and copy a lot of our words. It's neat to watch him put things together. For instance, when he connects a word with an object, like fire truck. He knows the word and is excited one he hears or sees one.
He's so busy and quick. Yesterday, he pressed the alphabet button on his Leapfrog fridge toy and ran around in circles in the kitchen. It seems like he is everywhere all at once and sure to be into something.
It's funny the way his mind processes things. I have a willow angel that sits on the table by our front door, but Bentley doesn't like it there. He always puts it on the bookcase in the spare bedroom by the other willow angel. It's like he doesn't want them to be lonely.
He also goes around telling us what belongs to whom. All day long, "Mommy's, Daddy's, Baby's," he's just started adding Bentley's. It's really cute. Last night as I folded clothes, he told me who's clothes I was folding and he got them right! Clever boy!
Well, I could go on and on but I really need to get going! Hopefully, I can get on again today and update about Marseille! She is now 6 months old!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BENTLEY!!!! We love you sweet boy and are so grateful to God for blessing us with you :) Love, Daddy, Mommy, and Marseille!

We're still surviving!
Well, we are finally coming to the end of our sickness. Hopefully, it will be the last time for the season. It has been a hard season of sickness and my body finally gave into sickness last Thursday. It's really not good when everyone is sick. So, now that we are getting back on a daily schedule I'll be posting Christmas pictures and New Year's goals soon :)
Until then, enjoy some of these pictures:
Here is a peek at what we are doing in our home. The girltalk blog talked about picking one spot to organize, well, we are tackling my sewing area. I'm taking all
my Christmas money and putting it to getting my business started. Hoping that the money I make will allow me to buy my Vitamix! This is how my sewing room looks right now... it's such of a mess because I loaned out my table. Yes, can you believe it, it actually was semi-organized! Anyway, it will be very exciting once it's done. We probably won't be able to get it done by the girltalk deadline, but that's okay! Danny is going to be building my work area! YAY! I'm so excited!
